Helpful Hints For your Photo's

Scouting Models wants you to make a great first impression

Here are some helpful hints that'll help:

• If it's a profile Photo, make sure it clearly shows your face. If it's blurry, or you're a dot in the background, it's nowhere near as effective as it could be.
• What does your photo project? Is it a funny photo? A formal photo? Make sure the photo project what you want others to see.
• Keep your photos fresh. Rotate your profile pictures every couple of weeks. You'd be surprised how many new contacts you can make.
• Use recent photos.
• Most of all, smile!
• Scanning tips
• When scanning your image, make sure you do a preview scan first.
• Color photocopies will not scan very well. If you have a scanner, it's best to scan the original image for the best quality.
• Rotate the image so it's right side up. If you scanned your photo sideways you should be able to rotate the image using the scanner software or photo-editing program.
• By cropping your photos, you can remove unnecessary and potentially distracting elements.

Photo Profile Guidelines

• A profile picture can be seen by both guests and members. You may only have one profile picture displayed per profile.
• The guidelines are as follows:
• The photo must be of you. No one else may appear in the picture.
• The photo must clearly display your face.
• The photo cannot contain any contact information.

Photo Gallery Guidelines

• Profile photo can be seen by both guests and members. 
•  The photo must be appropriate for the category it's posted in.
• Photo’s can include yourself, or even other people (If it does include other people, remember to ask their permission first).
• The photo cannot contain any contact information.
• The photo shows nudity  is not permitted on this site.
• Body shots" are permitted, however full nudity is not.
• Men may be topless as long as there is no nudity below the waist.
• Women can not be topless and at minimum most wear the equivalent of a bikini.

Note

Your pictures may be rejected if:

• It contains or suggests illegal activities, drugs, or drug paraphernalia.
• It is blank or very poor quality.
• It is a picture of a celebrity.
• It is copyrighted.
• It is deemed to be offensive, obscene, or violent.
• Any pictures suggesting sexual activity or arousal will be rejected.
• Sexually graphic pictures.
• Touching yourself or others in a sexual way including masturbation.
• Sexual intercourse and bodily fluids.

Helpful Hints For your Video's

• A number of things can affect the quality of your videos. Be especially mindful that there's enough light when you record them.
• Our video features (Instant Messaging with Video and Video Greetings) also record sound, so use your microphone if you have one!
• When it comes to your videos, you're the director and the star! Have a bit of fun, tell people what you're looking for or a little more about yourself - it's up to you. Just make sure your videos are appropriate for the category you're recording them in!

Video Guidelines

• Videos can be of just about anything, if it does include other people, remember to ask their permission first.
• The video and audio must be clear.
• The audio portion must be spoken in English or French.
• We cannot accept any videos that contain violent or hateful language or images, or that depict or suggest any illegal activities.
• Videos can't contain any commercial advertising or solicit any goods or services.
• Videos must clearly show your face; otherwise they will not be accepted
• Any references to contact information in the videos will not be authorized
• Remember to keep the video language and images appropriate for the category it is in.
• Any infraction of the above guidelines or any contravention of our code of conduct as stated in our Terms of Use, may result in account de-activation.

Note

Your Video’s may be rejected if:

• It contains or suggests illegal activities, drugs, or drug paraphernalia.
• Video’s with sexual acts, touching or arousal is not permitted.
• It is blank or very poor quality.
• A video of a celebrity.
• A copyrighted Video.
• Videos contain any commercial advertising or solicit any goods or services.
• It is deemed to be offensive, obscene, or violent.
• Any video’s suggesting sexual activity or arousal will be rejected.

Helpful Hints For your Voice Intro

• Before you start the recording prose, plan out what intend to say just to keep your introduction clear and concise
• Don't forget to adjusting your microphone settings by clicking the volume settings on the right of the record window
• To prevent problems, make sure to close any other applications that might be using your microphone before you click on RECORD tab.
• If you have more than one microphone you can select the one you want before you click on RECORD tab, click on Settings, and then clicking on your microphone icon.
• If you have a problem deleting an existing voice intro, try again a minute or two latter

• Your voice must be clear, otherwise they will not be accepted
• The Voice intro must be spoken in English or French.
• We cannot accept any voice Intros that contain violent or hateful language or that depict or suggest any illegal activities.
• Voice Intro can't contain any commercial advertising or solicit any goods or services.
• Any references to contact information in your voice intro will not be authorized

• If voice Intro is blank or very poor quality.

• Audio contain any commercial advertising or solicit any goods or services.
• Audio that deemed to be offensive, obscene, or violent.
• Any audio suggesting sexual activity or arousal will be rejected.
• Sexually graphic audio in including sound of masturbation or sexual intercourse.
